Research is an integral part of music therapy and its ongoing development as practice, profession and discipline.

Established in 2016, our Research Team contributes to the quality assurance of the Charity’s music therapy services across Scotland. Our vision is to become a leading hub for innovative, collaborative and interdisciplinary research that advances practice and knowledge in music therapy nationally and internationally.


Our Research Team  has the following main domains of work:

— undertakes projects

— oversees the research governance of Nordoff Robbins Scotland

— disseminates knowledge via publications and develops resources
