The SubClub Glasgow is hosting an exclusive Nordoff Robbins Get Loud gig as part of the charity’s nationwide awareness day on Wednesday 13th September 2017, 11pm-3am.
Scottish dance fans will be treated to unique performances from two top DJs – the award winning Jackmaster plus Ben UFO.
Jackmaster has established himself as one of the most admired and in demand DJs in the world. A product of the underground, his independent spirit remains intact, while he is equally at home sharing centre-stage with the likes of Seth Troxler and Jamie Jones at DC10 in Ibiza or Ben UFO and Mike Servito at a Numbers warehouse party in London.
Ben UFO founded Hessle Audio with Pearson Sound and Pangaea in 2007 and they have evolved into core figures in an increasingly globally-connected dance music scene. Over the past five years, Ben UFO has acquired a deserved reputation as one of contemporary dance music’s most daring and wide-ranging selectors, with his keen ear and razor-sharp technical abilities enabling him to cut between eras, lineages and mixing styles with dazzling ease and fluidity.
Tickets are £15 and profits will help take the power of music to more children and adults in Scotland isolated by illness or disability.
In addition, at midday on Wed 13 September Caffè Nero shops across the Scotland are hosting in-store acoustic performances dubbed ‘Coffee Shop Sessions’. Set to feature some of the best up-and-coming talent around, they will offer all Caffe Nero customers an opportunity to enjoy some great music and support Nordoff Robbins through a text donation: Text LOUD13 to 70070

Paul Ettinger, Business Development Director at Caffe Nero says “As an organisation that supports musicianship through our own in-store music programme, we feel a very strong synergy with the Get Loud campaign, and are committed to helping Nordoff Robbins ensure that music therapy is available to all those who need it.
Get Loud is an ambitious campaign, and we at Caffe Nero are matching that ambition in what we have planned! On the 13th September we will be giving a platform to hundreds of talented, unsigned artists who will perform simultaneously in our stores right across the UK. It is the first time we have hosted sessions on this scale, so it will be a real highlight for us that will make a huge amount of noise for Get Loud”
Carolyne Nurse, Fundraising Director for Nordoff Robbins Scotland, said: “With music therapy being increasingly recognised as a powerful tool in changing the lives of both children and adults, donations raised through amazing gigs like Jackmaster and Ben UFO at the Sub Club Scotland and the Caffe Nero Coffee Shop Sessions will help our team to continue their powerful work.”
