One of our star volunteers, Shanice Dougan, a psychology student at Stirling University says:
“For the past 5 months I have had the most wonderful time volunteering with NRS, having learned and experienced far more than I ever thought I would. As a Psychology student with an interest in Music Therapy the opportunity to meet and work with Music Therapists is exciting, but it goes far beyond that.
Working ‘behind the scenes’ has given me an invaluable insight into the job outwith the therapy itself, as well as how the charity works on a much larger scale. It makes all the difference when you see for yourself how honest and hardworking the charity really is! From helping out with research and assisting at fundraising events to contributing to new projects and even observing sessions: it is such a joy to be a part of NRS, and I can’t wait to see what else awaits me here.”
Thank you Shanice!
