Boost for Aberdeen Appeal
Following a recent article in the Aberdeen Express, Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland was delighted to receive a donation of £3500 from the Diced Cap Charity, a local charity, who made the donation after recently deciding to close.
"We are now almost halfway to our target of £20,000 and are hoping to be in a position to recruit a part-time therapist for Aberdeen by the end of 2015," said Carolyne Nurse, fundraising director. "We have had two very generous donations so far and some smaller amounts bringing us to over £9000."

Gibson At Gleddoch Golf Day
The annual Gibson at Gleddoch Charity Golf Day was held on the 3rd of June, on a blustery but mostly clear day at Gleddoch Golf Club. The event had a record turnout with just under 100 golfer's taking to the course this year for a texas scramble format. The Seventh Heaven team we're crowned champions and there was a noticeable increase in the number of good shots making it on to wefilmgolf highlights programme, suggesting good play from a number of teams.
After dinner, the outstanding comedian Des Clarke provided entertainment and did a superb job with the auction, leading on to guitarist Ian Forbes to close the event.
We are extremely grateful to Gleddoch House and their staff, the individuals and Companies, in particular our main event sponsor, Gibson Guitars, who supported the event in so many different ways to make it such a success and raise over £20,000. We look forward to seeing a number of the days teams on the 1st October at Archerfield.

Make Music, Change Lives
Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland is the only music therapy charity in the country. We use music in innovative and inspiring ways to connect to children and adults who face physical and mental challenges as a result of disability, illness or conditions such as autism and dementia. Our therapists work in schools, hospitals, hospices, care homes and in our own clinics.
Your donations help us to meet the growing need for music therapy as people increasingly recognise how it can dramatically change lives. We need around £500,000 a year to fund our work and rely on the generosity of our donors to keep our services accessible to the people who need us most. £50 could provide one music therapy session; £1000 could sponsor a therapist for a year.
