We believe in the power of music to help children and adults live more creatively and resourcefully in the face of disability, illness or trauma.
Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland is the largest provider of music therapy in Scotland, providing over 9000 therapy sessions a year nationwide. As well as in schools, hospitals and other healthcare and community settings, work also takes place in our four clinics – Broxburn (Lothian), in Maryhill (Glasgow), Crosshill (Fife) and in Dundee.
Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland currently employs 14 music therapists, both part and full-time. It is fundamental that a high level of professional support is offered to all our staff as we firmly believe that it contributes to the excellent reputation that the charity is proud of. Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland strives to maintain and exceed the standards of clinical excellence which our profession demands. It is because of this and our track record in delivering a first-rate quality of service that we have been able to undertake pioneering work in new clinical settings across Scotland.
We aim for Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland to be the provider of choice for music therapy services in Scotland. We aspire to be leader in the generation and communication of knowledge about music therapy through treatment, research and training.
Music therapy can make a difference to people’s lives. Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland has evidence to support this from several years of service user feedback. In addition, through other feedback, the charity is committed to including user comments to shape and develop our service.
